Notes From the Field!
The Evanix Speed; Initial Observation
I've spent a few days shooting and have emptied a couple tanks of air and a few tins of pellets (don't know which I'll run out of first) and feel comfortable commenting on the experience so far. One thing I'll tewll you, I haven't had so much fun plinking in a very long time. Was going hunting this morning but was rained out. Try again tomorrow!

Trip to South Africa
Just got back from my yearly airgunning trip to the Eastern Cape. This year I brought Crosmans Marauders in .177 and .22 and a Discovery in .177.
The Pneuma
is a new rifle that is being imported and distributed in North America by UMAREX. I had a chance to look at this compact hunting rifle at the SHOT Show this year, and arranged to have one sent out as soon as the first shipment hit our shores to see what it could do.
Night Time Hunt In East Texas
I went down to East Texas to meet up with Crosman Prostaffer Terry Tate and outdoor  cameraman Eric Henderson for some night time varmint hunting with a selection of Crosman rifles. Using both springers and PCPs we shot lots of possum, raccoons, and beavers that were tearing up Terrys property.

Had a chance to speak with the folks at Pyramyd Air, Crosman, Airguns of Arizona,  Leapers, Umarex, Venturi Air, Gamo, Hawke , Evanix, Hatsan as well as many of the providers of ancillary hunting gear.
The Coon Hunter!   Brian Beck took this stack of raccoons in one night with his .22 Marauder and Pneuma rifles. Calling them in with a FoxPro ecaller loaded with coon sounds. All these went to the local fur buyer.   Story posting soon.
17 Masked Bandits in 1 Night
Spending the next several days (in between business trips) on the range shooting the Benjamin Rogue .357, the Sam Yang Recluse .357 and Dragon Claw .50 calibers, and the Evanix Speed .25. Also have some very interesting results from Charles Peebles that has been testing his new Speed .25 caliber gun and collecting some great quantitative information. Will post soon!
