Removing the Receiver and Barrel

The next step is to pull back the bolt to gain access to the small Allen screw that holds the receiver onto the gas tube. Take care when loosening or tightening this screw as they can be easily stripped.

After the receiver screw is out, remove the flat head screw which attaches the rear sight and receiver to the tube. The entire barrel and receiver is now held in place only by the barrel band

Slide back up to the fore end of the gun and use a small Allen wrench to loosen the two barrel band screws located at the top and bottom of the band. There is a small dab of locktight used to ensure the screws don’t loosen on their own, but this doesn’t hamper removal.
